Rainy days and Mondays always get me down..

Ok so just to clear this little part up abt the bomb scare a few days ago..

The bomb alert was only raised AFTER this guy called in to report he'd left his bag in the terminal. What i find strange is that this guy had clothes and clock and other necessities stowed in his hand luggage. I assume he was only here for a trip short enough not to warrant a big suitcase. So how do u forget something like that? =/

Plus why would anyone leave an unattended bag for that long? Oh wait, i forgot.. here, no one really takes that into huge consideration. Not like some countries abroad which are constantly on alert for this kinda stuff.

Anywayyyy..

This song is a classic but it reflects my feelings exactly at the moment (and it's raining outside, how appropriate). And i keep singing it over and over and over. Tomorrow i'll post up lyrics of the other song if im still in this mood.

Talkin' to myself and feelin' old
Sometimes I'd like to quit
Nothing ever seems to fit
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

What I've got they used to call the blues
Nothin' is really wrong
Feelin' like I don't belong
Walkin' around
Some kind of lonely clown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

What I feel has come and gone before
No need to talk it out
We know what it's all about
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down..

Some people in this world..

..can be plain ignorant. Or maybe just really really forgetful.

How the HECK do u forget a bag at the airport?? You may leave an umbrella but u dont forget something like ur wheelchair.

So by now everyone's heard abt the bomb scare at the airport earlier this afternoon. Especially with all the police officers they had to deploy around the highway.

False alarm. But my dad had to work for abt 5hrs till everything was cleared. At least it came out to be nothing.

So what's the story?

Some person, whose nationality i shouldnt mention, left his bag at the airport. Dint claim it for whatever reason. Could be senility, or foretfulness, or ignorance. It sparked off a whole frenzy. They xrayed the bag and found this wired-up device. The guy called in to report his forgotten bag (before or after they raised the alert, i dunno) but failed to describe in detail what he had in there.

So the police blew it up. The bag, i mean. Well pretty much shot it to bits and sent it to luggage heaven. What WAS the wired device? A clock... and a moby charger.

It's really very funny if u think abt it.

I feel bad for all the ppl who had flights delayed, planes which had to take a detour and land far enough away from the airport to be in danger, the ppl who were called at 2pm to sort this mess out.

That guy's lucky RBA isnt sueing his ass. I was told they lost a few thousand K's today cos of this problem.

I guess it was a huger deal than normal (as if it wouldnt be) cos they had VIPs flying in today... but coincidentally some bomb specialist person or some such person, flew in from the States yesterday. heheh It's all about timing.

So people.. PLEASE mind ur luggage. Or if u call in to report it, tell them EVERYTHING. Even if u have a battery-operated toy in there. (Could be anything. hehe) Would save everyone alot of anguish and sanity.

Babes thought it was funny to say to me "oh yea that was me, i called it in. wanted to see what would happen". If he was right here, i'd smack him. It's not funny when this girl is pmsing and her daddy was involved in all that bomb ruckus. =/

I was talking to Buttercup and it reminded me of this article i read once. Where a lady was stopped at customs cos her bag was buzzing. Custom officials thought it was a bomb... turned out to be her vibrator.

REMINDER: ALWAYS remove batteries before travel.

Have a good wkend everyone. ;)
