LEAPS and Winning Eleven
First off, thanks to Hoochie for that shoutout on the radio this morning. =) If she's on air and i have to be out on the road running errands, KFM will always be tuned into. Thank u also for playing that song for the Shinies, and myself... although u and i know that most of them would prolly still have been asleep. heheh
For the last 2 days i've been spending more time with Miss Hooch than i have for the past month. Was lovely running into her and the Kinky at OGH, and she was sweet enough to join Zack and i for lunch yesterday. Love you, babe. And no worries, a whole cheesecake coming the Shinies' way soon. =)
I've been likened to being a Stepford Wife. lol. Just cos i've come over all domestic lately and have gotten urges to bake and cook. My latest projects have been cookies (the chewy kind i love) and cheesecake. =) The Crew practically inhaled 3/4 of the cheesecake i brought for them. =/
12 of us are having dinner at Senja tonite. I spent the whole day yesterday trying to call and make a reservation but no one picked up. It's a hotel, u really should have someone answering calls. By the time someone did answer the phone, it was in the evening. I requested that the restaurant have enough food for all of us cos the last time we went there after sending off HazelEyes, they ran out of meat!
You go to Senja for the steaks... and for their gorgeous Blue Cheese Claypot, but i digress. So anyway, at the time some of the Crew couldnt order anything apart from pasta or chicken or seafood. I was actually asked if i wanted to BOOK the steaks in advance. So i did.. but only 6 of them. heheh I know it's the same as pre-ordering a meal, but it just sounded strange cos in my head, i'm reserving little slabs of raw meat.
Tonite we wine and we dine.. i'm bringing lovely champagne chocolate (it's from Sg and it's absolutely orgasmic *sigh*), wine and of course, cheesecake. Think we may have a couple bottles of champagne as well.
I'm gonna be completely relaxed tonite and just enjoy myself. I've been very stressed out lately.. huge workload and just a bit too much on my plate. Oh, but i got a massage this morning. =D Of which, Hooch decided she HAD to mention on radio. =P heheheh
I had to drop over at LEAPS to antar barang and i decided i'd try the massage place they had downstairs. Considering it's been ages since i last had one (been abt 2 mths actually, i keep saying i'll go, but i never have time to), that massage was such bliss. I havent been this calm for a long time, and i'm still purring. The knots in my back have gone for now but i need to plan when i can go for a proper loooonggggg one. Maybe next wkend when i go away with the Crew. ;)
So i wanna talk abt the School Holiday activities that have been going on at LEAPS since Monday. It's been going on for 4 days, today being the last. Tomorrow, from 9am to 11.30am, they'll be having Open Day where parents are invited to come in for a look at what the kids have been up to.
The kids have been really busy with their Arts and Crafts. I saw some of their work earlier and i thought.. "THIS was done by a 6 yr old??" They're incredible.. very very creative. And oh so pretty.
The kids are such darlings.. ages ranging from 6 to 11yrs of age. I got to see up close, ALL of them doing the Cha-Cha Slide. The CHA-CHA SLIDE, for heavens sake. Yes, not only can they do the whole dance, but their coordination is amazing. O_O They did get a bit mixed up with 'left' and 'right' but then i dont blame them. Cos Teacher Meow mixed them up too. =P Which is why today, i noticed 2 arrows stuck on the wall reading 'left' and 'right'. haha
Imagine a lone voice out of these little people all lined up before the song, going "Start the music!" and "Let's get funky!!" all of a sudden. I cracked up, they're so cute! =D They're also smart cos they kept going to Teacher Bubu to ask for candy. LOL. Bu, stop trying to buy them off with sweets!!
I spent some time talking to the girls and asking if they were having fun. At one point, when Teacher Meow was trying to get their attention, this sweet little girl came up to me and said "you're so beautiful..". hehe Strange, as i was thinking the exact same thing abt her. =)
I was told abt this one conversation the older girls were having with Meow. They were talking abt which young singers/actresses they liked. And which they didnt. At one point, they said they dint quite like this one particular celeb cos she's a druggie. That was fine. What i found a bit disturbing was that they actually knew the names of some of the pharmaceutical drugs these celebs take. Lordy, even i dont know some of this stuff. And these are 11 yr olds. It took some time to pick my jaw off of the floor.
I'm pleased with the turnout they had for the program. So parents, if u wanna have a look at what it's like over there, and meet some of the lovely, and very (VERY) patient ppl who will look after ur kids, pop by at LEAPS Educational Services tomorrow, Friday 23rd, for their Open Day. They're situated behind the HSBC building in Serusop.
Moving on, there's the Pro Evo Soccer Tournament going on at Orchid Garden Hotel. Yesterday and today, the Under 18s are playing. Friday and Sat, it will be quite busy with all the rest of the participants signed up for the Multi-tap, World Cup and Knockout categories. Finals will be held on Sunday the 25th. I'll be around to help out Ran so if u'd be so kind as to come visit me, it would be most appreciated. heheh
But please do come to offer ur support to those playing. The Finals especially, will be quite exciting. As i've witnessed firsthand. The suspense drives everyone batty. But it's good fun tho. hehe Those of you coming to play or just to show ur support, I shall see u there. =)
