Study@UBD Exhibition 2007

I'm so very tired.. been up since 6.30am, at uni since 8am, and only got home after 5pm. It's like a full day at work. Cept i had to be on my feet for most of the day.

The Study@UBD exhibition opened today and will continue till tomorrow afternoon. So if anyone's interested to come have a look at prospective courses (or just to visit me. hehe), please feel free. You'll have me trying to sell studying at CIBFM to you.. and also, u get to see me in a tudung. Don't ask.. it's been 5 yrs since i last wore one, and i just felt like it.

All the different faculties will be around to help with any questions and to tell u abt the various courses offered. Just pop by their booths from 8.30am onwards. I think the exhibition closes at abt 4pm. But most of the booths stay on till around 5pm, until no one else turns up.

Quite a few familiar faces today.. most of them my ex-schoolmates from MS. I find that if ppl dont come for the courses or just for the hype, they come for the freebies. heheh Altho freebies here arent as great as those u get during Freshers' Week everywhere else. But still, u get candy and bookmarks and bags and oranges. hehe

Mi txted us to go out tonite.. i'd love to, but i'm really very tired. It's only 7.30pm and already ive decided that im gonna shower and eat (again. my appetite's coming back!) and then go to sleep. I'm so gonna regret this when i wake up in the middle of the night, but i really need the sleep.

I wont have to spend the whole day at UBD tomorrow.. my shift is in the afternoon. So if u wanna come over when i'm around, come after 1.30pm. I'll be there.

The net seems to be lagging quite badly for me today, so i think i'll just click on publish and go soak in the tub.

Week 1 down

..2nd week left to go. I'm talking abt the CNY celebrations. hehe It's been fun but 15 days is enough for me, thank you.

What a week! It's gonna take a little bit longer for me to regain my energy. The weekend has been a blast. Got to catch up with the old MS crew at Zh's. It was a reunion of sorts.. the next time we get together, we're doing it bigger and better. =)

One of our former teachers came as well.. and the moment he said "Finally I see u 3 back together again", all the memories came flooding back. Naf, Drew, Zh.. the 3 in our whole yr that made the most noise and caused the most trouble. heheh Was so good to see some of the girls again. Been a while, ladies. =]

I wanted to kidnap Zh's puppies.. they're such cute little bundles of white fur. O_O I picked up the girl and plopped her on my lap. She just sat there staring at me while i cooed at her before trying to lick my nose when i made kissy noises. My heart melted. <3

I realise there're many ppl i have to catch up with. It was easier back in Sec school when we saw each other everyday. Now we're older, we have jobs, families, different directions in life. It's much harder to sit down and have long chats. Although keeping in touch was never really that big a problem for us. =)

Nee sent me home after Zh's.. i was so ready to get changed into my jammies and get some rest. Maybe grab some munchies and watch a dvd. But no, i get a txt at almost 1am asking me what im up to and wanting to meet up. So out i went again to pick up a someone who decided to be a monkey that night. He made me drive around, then i sent him home.. where he decides he doesnt wanna sleep altho he has to be at work in 3hrs from then. So yet again, i had to layan.. before he finally asks 'hey could u send me to camp?' I was close to asleep by then. Lol. But it's ok.. inda jua slalu. I dont do this for very many ppl, Joe. =P

Sat night was spent at Jack's (he's back from Japan! but leaving again tomorrow...) where i got to see his family again. And when he took us on a tour of the house, i attempted to steal his sister's BIG STUFFED LADYBUG. hahah The moment Jack noticed me grabbing it and my face completely lighting up, he went RACHEL, NO. Mcm kuyuk kana marahi. hahahah

I did ask if i could have it.. and when his sis said no, i did put it back. Albeit, very reluctantly. hehe She said i could have it if i got her a stuffed pig the same size. lol I forgot how attached i was to that family. =)

Spent the rest of the night, and a little part of the morning at Peng's. Dint have much of a choice really. She locked us in. Literally. Least she let us go home at 3am... hehe. Got to see my mandatory annual lion dance. For some reason, i've loved those since i was little. Scared? Psshhh.

Peng's lil bro is the cutest thing. But apparently very picky when it comes to girls. Dont think he warmed to me all that much in the beginning. But for whatever reason, he decided he wanted me last nite. Feeding him is a lot of fun. He enjoys his food.. i mean, REALLY enjoys it. He makes all these yummy noises. Made me hungry enough to actually get my own plate after. hehe

Hope everyone's CNY has been good. Hope uve stuffed urselves silly. Wish i could do that.. ive been so busy, ive actually dropped weight this festive season. Sokay.. once the busy dies down, i'll start eating properly again. And we have lots of leftovers. =D

Ok.. i have to run. Meeting up the crew to watch footie tonite. Arsenal vs Chelsea.

While i'm at it.. yes, Liverpool did win 4-0 yesterday against Sheff U. ;)

Open House 2007

A great big thank you to all those who made it over to my place tonite for Open house. I really appreciate it. =) You dont realise how much. To those who i havent seen in so long, it was good to see ur sweet faces. I'm really sorry for not layaning every one of u the way i wouldve liked..

Thank u to my Hippo... without u i wouldnt have been able to survive. Year in and year out, u've proven to be the biggest help ever. Thank u for letting me boss u around. hehe I love you.

Thanks to Lion and Hills for providing shisha and cigars. This will be a tradition for many yrs to come. =)

Thanks to everyone for helping me finish up my food and help tidy up. I'm really grateful. And sorry again if i dint sit down with u and layan u. I wouldve loved to be able to catch up with each and every one of u.

It's now 3.15am.. the last of the crew left abt half an hr ago. I'm sitting here finishing up some food i reheated.. got told off by Zack and Hills for not eating earlier. =/ I'm eating now, trust me.

Gonna jump into the shower soon.. then i'm climbing right into bed. My feet hurt, my back aches.. it's been an extremely busy week for me. Even more so tonite.. but i must say it was so worth it cos u guys rock. =)

Chinese New Year Greetings!

I know it's a little bit late, but Happy Chinese New Year to everyone. =) Hey, at least it's still within the first week. Another 11 days to go before the celebrations end.

People have been asking me how my CNY's going. I just say.. maybe a little too well. hehe I'm exhausted!! We usually have 2 days for Open House here at home. Too many ppl to accommodate in one day. I spent the first day on my feet from 10am to 10pm. I love playing hostess and i know i do it well. But 2 days straight is more than enough for me.

The 2nd day wasnt as bad... still tiring tho. But i got to hop out to Junior's for a couple hrs. Had a few drinks, enjoyed the company. Then i got a call to go home cos i had a guest waiting for me to talk to him abt his daughter's Law degree. Talked for an hour straight before they were satisfied. =/ Then i made my escape.. again. heheh Zack picked me up to go over to my Godparents'. =)

So far yesterday and today ive spent catching up on my rest.. although i have class later on and tomorrow afternoon. Visiting only takes place in the evenings now, have to wait for my dad to get off work.

If it's been this busy for the first couple days... i've got alot to handle tomorrow night when i have MY open house for friends. Very much looking fwd to it tho. All these wonderful gorgeous ppl under my roof. heheh Dont think everyone i've invited will make it over, but the ones that count will definitely be here till late.

At the moment of writing, i'm chatting with RZD and i want to say that I MISS HIM. We're having a very.. um... interesting conversation. Bringing random back, we've gone from conversations abt CNY to brainwashing, to working abroad, to sharing a flat, to Kobe Beef and finally somehow, sex. Mmm... Sexy Steak. LOL

Another 4 wks to go.. cant wait to see u, babes. =)

Now i shall resume my chatting with him and maybe catch a quick catnap before class. It's gonna take me a week to recover from all this.. =/

I kickstarted my day by getting up at 7am... got dolled up just to go and sit around in the heat till 10.30am. hehe The 6 MIBF (Masters in Islamic Banking and Finance) students were invited to a ceremony at UBD for the Foundation Laying of the new CIBFM (Centre for Islamic Banking, Finance and Management). It wasnt that bad.. but it was hot so my kain was sticking to my legs. Ick. =/

We took a few pics for our table in the "Study at UBD" exhibition coming up soon. Also got the ceremony on video. =) Was nice seeing ppl i havent seen in literally years. Ran into 2 former principals of MS, Daddy's former boss, and other government office ppl. And of course a dear friend was around too. =)

CNY is this weekend and things are starting to get hectic for me. I find i have less time for myself and more things to accomplish. Fitting in time to socialise, go to uni, take care of family priorities... it's tiring, but i'm not complaining. I'm happy being busy. Just learning how to balance my time. =)

Speaking of which.. i have to go and get changed now. Got an apptment at 2pm. Will post again later.

Thanks to my wonderful hostess, i'm back blogging under unangelic again!! I can't remember the last time i was this excited. haha

Changes have had to be made.. hence the very plain, very white layout. But hopefully we'll be able to move that around soon. I might need Aenypoo for this again.. she was the one who set it all up for me in 2001.

But ladybugs and brownies, I'M back!!
